About Bauer Sport Floors

John Bauer, the founder of Bauer Flooring, opened his first wood sport floor company in 1941 in Michigan. In the mid-1980’s, John moved the company to Texas and continued to grow his company through hard work and dedication, becoming one of the most successful wood sport floor businesses in the country. In 1994, John Bauer passed his company onto his step-son James Kirk Van Hook, who changed its name to Bauer Sport Floors, Inc. Kirk has continued the legacy of providing exceptional service and superior quality wood sport floors. In 2009, Bauer expanded its operations into the state of Louisiana and began to include other sport and performing art flooring including: synthetic poured polyurethane flooring, vinyl sport flooring, rubber weight room flooring, and outdoor tennis courts.

Bauer continues to offer custom painted graphics and logos, game line painting, and SafePath ADA compliant rubber transition ramps. We not only install exceptional new floors,we also maintain and repair your wood floors to keep them looking like new and extend the life of your investment.
